Many things have changed in recent years. The environment is no longer friendly. It has become a source of many problems. There are so many diseases that it is difficult to mention all of them in Uganda.
All these diseases like cancer are as a result of environmental pollution. It has caused the air to be filled with detrimental chemicals. These chemicals come from industrial production and moving vehicles. In industrial regions, you may think it’s about to rain soon. This is because the sky is cloudy! When you ask, they tell that there’s no rain but industrial smoke.
Moreover science and technology have made the soil to be contaminated with chemicals that are dangerous to both soil organisms and human beings. It’s these particles that penetrate into the soil. They, as a result, pollute soil water which is, in turn, drunk by human beings. Consequently, human beings get problems, one of which is cancer. Indeed, the disease is very difficult and sometimes impossible to cure.
Furthermore, science and technology have been a source of land pollution. This is because they have made industrial products to be abundant. Unfortunately, some of the products don’t decompose. Think of plastic materials and bottles! All these are products that do not decompose. They are, consequently found scattered right and left on streets.
Generally, despite being good for human development, science and technology have been a source of many problems in the universe. Problems such as global warming, acid rains are some among many problems which have roots in science and technology. One question remains,” SHALL WE SURVIVE?”

The God fearing Girls, your article is very important to our community. It is very true that Science and Technology is bringing a lot of problems to our enviroment today. Besides that the rampant destructions on the vegetation like cutting down of trees and draining out swamps have made it even worst.
ReplyDeleteSome parts of the country have failed to recieve rain because all the forest have been destroyed. Imagine even the current lightning strikes has been attributed to the environmental destructions.
Fellow Ugandans we need to learn from our mistakes. Lets preserve our environment so that we dont live under harsh condition because of own mistakes.
